May. 28th, 2001 10:15 pmToday just totally sucked. It was Memorial Day, it was raining, and I had to work.
Sucakge #1: On my way to work, my car died. Luckily I had enough momentum to coast off the road and into the grass. I did manage to get the car to start again, thankfully, and still made it to work on time despite my difficulties. Of course, I then had to call my mother so she could get someone to come out and fix my car so I could make it home after work.
Suckage #2: I was put on the express lane at work. I HATE the express lane. No matter how fast I work I can never seem to clear all the people out of my line. If we're busy, it's even worse (and we were BUSY when I came in today). I like the normal lanes better, because I don't feel so rushed, and I have time to talk and joke with the customers. Anyway, I got to spend 8 fucking hours on express tonight, and I hated it.
Suckage #3: The reason I was stuck on express all night was because Debbie, the other express cashier, had to be taken to the hospital. Apparently while I was on my 10 minute break she started having trouble breathing and got very red in the face. When I got back to my register there were several paramedics in the office with her, and eventually they took her out on a stretcher. When I left work at 9:30pm Debbie was still in the emergancy room at the hospital.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why my day sucked. Oh, and I get to work again tomorrow too. Joy.
