I didn't have such a great time at COUp tonight. You see, our pre-meeting dinner is at 5:30pm, so I have to leave around 4pm to get there on time. And when I left home at 4pm we still hadn't decided on where to eat, but McAlister's deli had been suggested. So of course I go to McAlister's, and no one shows up. Grrr. Turns out everyone (well, everyone that hadn't gone home for Thanksgiving) had gone to Panera's instead. So I ended up eating alone, but I figured I'd at least catch up with everyone at Strong's before the meeting. Bzzt, wrong again. After killing a good 45 minutes I got some hot chocolate and headed on over to the meeting, which of course is where I found everyone. I enjoy the COUp dinners almost as much as I do the anime, so I was pretty put out by the time things finally got started.
The anime itself was good, but I really wan't into it tonight. I did at least got to have a nice conversation with Beth about the evils of Wal~Mart and the beauty of ancient video games.
Now I'm going to crash. Tomorrow promises to be an extremely busy day at work, as everyone does their last minute shopping for Thanksgiving. Not that there won't be people coming in on Thursday, but usually the Thursday crowd consists of mostly "I just need one thing that I forgot" people as opposed to the "Oh goddess, thanksgiving is tomorrow I need to get food for 50 people" crowd that I'll have on Wednesday.
